Page Turners 2023

Our Page Turners Book Group meets at 6:30pm on the fourth Tuesday of every other month, January through September, 2023. We also meet the next day, Wednesday at 1pm, at the Stoughton Area Senior Center. Copies will be available six weeks before each discussion, on the top floor near the elevator. Jan. 24-25: Six Crimson Cranes by Elizabeth Lim
An exiled Princess must unravel the curse that turned her six brothers into cranes, assisted by her spurned betrothed, a capricious dragon, and a paper bird brought to life by her own magic. 

Mar. 28-29: Once There Were Wolves by Charlotte McConaghy
Twin sisters lead a team of biologists who plan to re-introduce wolves to the Scottish Highlands. This new setting promises healing from dark secrets the sisters left behind, until a farmer is mauled to death and the townsfolk need someone to blame.

May 23-24: Between Two Kingdoms by Suleika Jaouad
A memoir of the harrowing years the author spent in early adulthood fighting leukemia and how she learned to live again while forging connections with other survivors of profound illness and suffering.

Jul. 25-26: Tenth of December by George Saunders
A collection of stories which includes "Home," a wryly whimsical account of a soldier's return from war; and the title story, in which a suicidal cancer patient saves the life of a young misfit.

Sep. 26-27: The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt
A young boy survives an accident which takes his mother’s life, and begins a lifelong obsession with the painting of a goldfinch which bore witness to this tragic moment.
