Adult Craft Club meets on the first Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm, from February through June and from August through December. Registration is required, as supplies are limited, and we ask that you call (608-873-6281) or email the library to reserve a spot. Registration opens two weeks before the program.
The goal of Craft Club is to try new arts and crafts techniques. The projects focus more on the technique than on the outcome and everyone's project turns out differently. No experience is necessary for any of the projects.
Upcoming projects and dates:
August 1: Driftwood Crafts
We'll also be holding this session at 10:00 am on 8/20 at the Senior Center. Call 873-8585 to register for that event.
Create a beachy mobile, key rack, jewelry hanger using Lake Michigan driftwood, wire, beads and beach glass. All supplies provided, but bring in any supplies you might want to use or share.
September 5: Sew Relaxed
Come on down to our sewing center and make a key fob wristlet or aromatherapy neck-wrap. Supplies provided but donations of fleece and woven cotton fabric will be accepted.
October 3: You Gourd-A-Be Kidding Me!
Special Guest Artist Ingrid West will show a variety of gourd art and teach us how to make a one of a kind piece of gourd art out of gourd shards! Supplies provided.
November 7: Make a Book!
Learn about how books are made and make a small book to take or give. The library will have lovely paper to create a cover and all other supplies.
December 5: Shibori-Dyed Scarf
Shibori dyeing is back at the library! Join us and learn about different folding methods and create your own wearable art with a silk scarf.
