Teen Chess Club
Thursday, October 2, 3:15-4pm
Meet in the Teen Area where volunteers from the Stoughton Area Senior Center will be on hand to teach you how to play chess. Already know how to play? Challenge others to a game instead. For ages 10 and up. No registration required.



Adult Craft Club
Thursday, October 2, 6:30-8pm
Fimo Jewelry
Try out using Fimo (polymer clay) to create jewelry pieces.

Writing Series: Character, Voice and Theme
Saturday, October 4, 10-11am
Great characters, a distinct voice and a well-explored theme can transform
good writing into great writing. But how do you craft them?
We’ll discuss while you enjoy a free cup of coffee, cocoa or tea during the session.
For adults as well as teens entering grades 6 and up.
No registration required.



Teen Tuesday: Author visit with Chrisa Thomas
Tuesday, October 7, 3:30-5:30

Local teen author Chrisa Thomas will present a hands-on workshop about creating memorable protagonists and antagonists, story planning methods, what to do if you get stuck, and how to create a satisfying ending. You’ll also write a short story using various prompts and challenges. While you write, enjoy snacks provided by the Friends of the Library.
For teens in grades 6 and up.
No pre-registration required.

Rainbow Loom Club
Thursdays, Now thru December 18, 3:15-4 pm
Join other crafters in the Children's Department after school every Thursday.
No instruction will be provided—this is a chance to share ideas, chat and have fun.
The library has two looms available for use.
Don't like to loom? Bring another craft project to work on.
For ages 8 and up.
No registration required.
