The Art of Mendhi

Tuesday, June 17, 6:30-7:15pm

Local artist Poonam Rao will teach you how to create traditional “temporary tattoo” henna body art.

For teens entering grades 6-12.
No pre-registration required.

Permission slip required
(parent/guardian may sign and turn in at the beginning of the program).

Book Buddies Tutor Training

July 14th from 1:00 - 2:00 pm

Book Buddies is an enjoyable way to encourage reading over the summer.
Buddies entering grades K-3 will pair up with Tutors entering grades 5-12
for fun projects, tasty snacks, and quality reading time.

Space is limited—if you are interested in volunteering as a Tutor,
please stop by the Children's Desk to pick up a registration form.

The Sound of Science: DIY Speaker

Tuesday, July 15, 3:30 - 4:15 pm

Learn how to use simple household materials to make a "do-it-yourself" speaker for your phone or digital music player.

Experiment with different materials to see which produces the best or loudest sound.

For teens entering grades 6-12.
No pre-registration required.

Meet the Author + Map Necklace Craft

Tuesday, August 12, 3:30-4:15pm Meet Angie Stanton, young adult author and former Stoughton resident.
She’ll talk about how she became an author and discuss her newest book "ROYALLY LOST" (HarperTeen), about a girl who meets a prince during her summer vacation in Europe.

Afterward, you’ll use an old map to make a pendant to wear.

For teens entering grades 6-12.
No pre-registration required.

Teen Summer Movie

Tuesday, August 5, 6-8:30 pm


Based on the bestselling book by Veronica Roth.

In a world divided by factions based on virtues, a young woman learns she's different.
When she discovers a plot to destroy people of her kind,
she must discover what makes her dangerous before it's too late.

This film is rated PG-13.
Free popcorn and beverages will be served.

Summer Library Program Finale
"Get Excited About Science "

Location: Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Road B

We want to celebrate your summer reading achievements!
Join us from 6-6:30 to enjoy free sundaes provided by Culvers.

Then enjoy Steve Belliveau’s fast-paced science show full of large props,
music, humor and audience participation.

All ages.
No pre-registration required.

Volunteers from the Stoughton Area Senior Center will be in the Teen Area
to teach you how to play chess, or to provide game opportunities for more experienced players.

For teens in grades 5 and up.
