Holds Pickup Options (Library to Go)

After receiving an automated notification that your holds are available, you now have the following choices (please note that we no longer offer Curbside Express):

Option 1: Make your own curbside holds pickup appointment

  • Please check your holds expiration date and make sure your appointment is before that date! Otherwise, your items will not be available for you. 
  • Use this link: https://curbside.capiratech.com/?code=stouwius53589
  • Do not use this option if you'd like to pickup holds for multiple family members, if you are requesting special items (such as craft kits), if you aren't sure about your holds expiration date, if you don't have an email address, or if you'd like to pick up your items in the next 60 minutes. In those cases, please use option 2 or 3.
  • Appointments are made Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and can be made one week in advance.

Option 2: Contact us for a holds pickup appointment

  • Email us at storef@stolib.org or call us at (608) 873-6281 to request an appointment.
  • Appointments are made Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and can be made one week in advance.
  • If no one answers your phone call, we are probably helping another patron! Leave a message with your name, phone number, and library barcode number and we will call you back as soon as we can.

Option 3: Come in to the library during our open hours (starting on Monday, 5/17)

  • During our Library to Go phase, you may enter the building during the following times to pick up your holds: 
    Monday-Thursday 1:00-7:00 pm, Friday 1:00-5:00 pm, and Saturday 10:00 am-3:00pm

Do I need to have my library card number ready when I contact you?
Yes please! 

Where will my items be when I arrive?
Items will be placed on a cart near the exterior book drop (the same side of the building as the parking lot) in a plastic bag with your name attached. 

Can I return items?
Yes! Please return items only in our exterior book drop.

Can I get Lucky Day items?
We can work with you to offer Lucky Day items; just call us at (608) 873-6281! We can also check out children's read-along Vox Books, Wonder Books, and Busy Bags.

When I visit https://curbside.capiratech.com/?code=stouwius53589 to make my own pickup appointment, I see the option to "Check-in for pickup" -- what's that all about?
Please ignore that option, it does not apply to our library.

I'd like to change the time of my pickup appointment: how do I do that?
If you made your own appointment, you can log in to https://curbside.capiratech.com/?code=stouwius53589, cancel your appointment, and make a new one (there's not a way to revise an existing appointment at this time).  Or you can contact the library and we can help you make any needed changes.

I want to make my own appointment, but I don't know my password! 
Your password for https://curbside.capiratech.com/?code=stouwius53589 is the same PIN you used for the self-check machines and the library computers. It is often your birthdate in the format MMDD (no year included). Give us a call if you have questions!

What if it's raining/snowing? 
We may need to suspend holds pick-up if there is inclement weather. We will contact you directly if we need to reschedule your appointment.
