For 2014, we recognized Claudette Higgins for her continued service to the Friends of the Stoughton Public Library. Claudette has served as Secretary for the Friends of the Library Board for several years. Thanks to her attention to detail, organizational skills and prompt minutes, the FOL are keep on track when it comes to all of the projects that are in progress. Claudette is very active with the Friends and is always willing to lend a hand in "getting things done." In fact, she has assisted with all of the fundraising efforts since she joined the Friends. As a side benefit to the Friends, Claudette is also involved with several local organizations and clubs where she is always willing to spread the word about the latest Friends projects. Thank you for all you do!
During the February 11, 2015 Annual Friends meeting, Claudette was honored officially for her dedication and endless support of the Friends of the Stoughton Public Library. She was gifted a lovely plant and refreshments were served before and after the meeting. A plaque honoring all of the "Friend of the Year" recipients is on display at the Library, just outside the lower level Carnegie Room.
Friend of the Year is an honor given to a Friends member who has shown dedication and helped to promote the Friends and the Library throughout the previous year.
