Kashmira Visits The Library!

Author Kashmira Sheth visited our library as a part of the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission “Multicultural Book Week” in October. Here Kashmira (center) is pictured with her mother (seated), Erleen Killeen from the Stoughton Area School District and Cathie Burns, our Children’s Librarian.


During her visit, Kashmira spoke about her books and her culture. Pictured above are some of the program attendees who tried on the saris Kashmira brought.


The children's materials are boxed and placed in storage.		The shelving and furniture are removed.

The Children's Room Celebrates Our New Look!

An Open House was held May 14th to welcome back our younger patrons, their parents and other
interested community members to offer them a chance to become reacquainted with
the happiest space in town to learn, discover and experience.

A short program expressed our gratitude to those community members
who have helped to make the redesign a reality.

Music was provided by The Stoughton High School A Capella Choir directed by Mr. Ryan Casey.

A welcome and introductions were offered by Nancy Keeney, Library Board President.

Ms. Keeney presented a plaque acknowledging the donations of the Friends of the Stoughton Library,
The Marie Nelson Fund, An Anonymous donor and the many small gifts from the community.

Refreshments were served following the program.
