find it, you win a prize. The Big Dipper will be moved throughout the month,
so you
can search each time you visit the library. |
Guessing Jar: July 1-30
Guess how many space rocks are in the jar.
You can guess each time you visit the library.
The five closest guesses will win a reading bag full of prizes. |
Space Station Reading Tent: August 1-25
Visit the Space Module tent with docking port in the Children’s Room for quiet reading.
Climb inside, curl up and read during your August library visit. |

have been read and enjoyed by Children’s staff and multiple copies will be available for

Adult Summer Library Program
Parents are encouraged to participate in the Adult Summer Library Program, which runs
the same time as the Children and Teen programs. Stop by the second floor and add your
latest read to the reading wall. Random drawings are held each week for prizes and the
grand prize of $50 Barnes and Noble gift card will be awarded at the end of the summer.
If your kids see you reading, they will be more likely to read themselves. |

Astronaut Training
Saturday, June 2 at 2pm
Join the staff from the UW Space Place to learn about what it takes to become an astronaut. No registration required.

Totally Toddlers
Mondays, June 11 – August 13 at 9:30am
Storytime for children ages 0-3 featuring shorter stories, lots of songs, puppets,
fingerplays and a short craft. No registration required. |
Preschool Players
Mondays, June 11-25 at 10:30am and Tuesday, June 26 at 6:30pm
Dress Rehearsal on June 25 and Performance on June 26
will be held at
the EMS Training Room, 516 S 4th St. Stoughton.
OR
Tuesdays, July 10-24 at 2pm and Wednesday, July 25 at 7pm
Children ages 4-5 will learn several plays and then perform for family and friends.
Registration is required and begins two weeks before the first program in each
session. |
Preschool Storytime
Wednesdays, June 13 – August 15 at 10am
Storytime for children ages 0-5 and their families
with stories, songs, puppets,
crafts and more!

School Age Wednesdays: Craftastic
Wednesdays, June 13 – 27 at 3pm
Children entering grades K-5 will create a fantastic themed craft project each
week. An adult helper is required for children entering Kindergarten.
Registration
is required and begins Wednesday, May 30.

Preschool Fridays: Picture Book Movies
Fridays, June 15 – 29 at 10am
Watch your favorite picture books as movies!
Several short book based movies will
be shown each week and popcorn will be served.

Lego Club
Saturdays, June 23, July 21 and August 18 at 10am
Come and build a masterpiece with a variety of Legos.
The library will provide
the Legos, all you need are the ideas!

Incredible Bats
Thursday, June 28 at 6:30pm
Fire Station Meeting Room
Families are invited to Sharon Peterson and learn about bats.
Live bats are a part
of the performance!

School Age Wednesdays: Science is Everywhere

Camp Out at the Library
Thursday, July 19 at 6:30pm
Bring your sleeping bag to a camping themed storytime for children
ages 3-8 and their families. Enjoy stories, snacks and an art project.
Registration required and begins Thursday, July 5. |
School Age Wednesdays: Lunch Bunch
August 1-15 at Noon
Children entering grades K-3 will listen to the librarian read aloud from a chapter
book while eating lunch. After the reading there will be crafts and games. A small
snack will be provided but children are encouraged to bring a sack lunch.
Registration
is required and begins Wednesday, July 18. |
Preschool Fridays: Beautiful Art
Fridays, August 3-17 at 10am
Create beautiful art using paints, scissors and other materials.
This program is
for children ages 3-5 and requires an adult helper.
Registration is required and
begins Friday, July 20.

Henry Vilas Zoomobile
Fire Station Meeting Room
Thursday, August 9 at 9:30am and 11am
Meet animals from the Henry Vilas Zoo and learn about animal behaviors from
Zoo volunteers. Live animals are part of the performance. To balance the attendance
of each program a ticket is required to attend. Registration for the Zoomobile is FULL.

Library Picnic
East Park Shelter from 12-2pm
After you enjoy the Henry Vilas Zoomobile performance, join other summer
readers for a library picnic! Bring your picnic lunch and the library will supply
drinks and dessert. No ticket needed for the picnic.
